Change of Director

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Nov.21, 2017(GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ashanti Sankofa, Inc. ("Ashanti" or the "Company") (TSXV:ASI) announces that Mr. Robert Spiers has resigned as a director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company.  The Company would like to thank Mr. Spiers for his contributions to the Company and wish him well in his future endeavors.

The Company is pleased to announce that Mr. Ronald Renne has been appointed to the Board.  Mr. Ronald Renne has been a director and Chairman of the Board of Blox, Inc. (OTCQB: BLXX) since February 2014. Mr. Renne has over 10 years of experience in the banking sector and managing information technology resources. He has strong African and European ties that have contributed to his excellent understanding of business, culture and language in West Africa - a significant asset to the Company. He has worked at HFC bank in London and the Royal Bank of Scotland. Mr. Renne graduated from the Manchester Metropolitan University in 2000, with a BA Hons. He is also qualified in all aspects of retail banking, which allowed him to practice banking services in the United Kingdom.
