Erdene Resource Development Corp CEO Peter Akerley joins Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with details of positive exploration results from the Dark Horse prospect in southwest Mongolia.
The Dark Horse prospect is part of the Bayan Khundii (BK) complex, where the company has made three main discoveries, with the BK project moving towards first gold in 2025.
Anerley noted that the significant aspect of these deposits is the high grade, with open pit head grades over 3.5 grams and intersections with 6 to 8 grams per 20 meters of surface. The Dark Horse discovery adds to this by covering a kilometer and a half of strike length and showing potential for expansion over a 20 square kilometer area.
He said these results will be integrated into an updated feasibility study expected in mid-August, enhancing project economics.
The CEO also mentioned a strategic alliance with Mongolia's largest mining company and ongoing exploration plans for the rest of 2023, showcasing a steady growth plan.
