OTTAWA, May 5, 2017 /CNW/ - Northern Shield Resources Inc. ("Northern Shield" or the "Company") [TSXV: NRN] is pleased to announce that geophysical surveys have commenced at Huckleberry.
The geophysics includes a ground gravity survey and an Aerovision UAV-MAG survey (Drone). The surveys will focus on the western portion of Huckleberry where four of the five drill holes intersected Cu-Ni-PGE mineralization during initial exploration last year. The purpose of the surveys are to better define the peridotite sills and conduits that host the mineralization. Drilling is planned for mid-June.
The gravity survey is being conducted by Abitibi Geophysics. The Aerovision UAV-MAG survey is also being conducted by Abitibi Geophysics in partnership with Pioneer Exploration Consultants Ltd.
The programs at Huckleberry are being overseen by Christine Vaillancourt, P. Geo., the Company's Chief Geologist and a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101.
