VANCOUVER, British Columbia, April 13, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Lundin Gold Inc. ("Lundin Gold" or the "Company") (TSX:LUG) (Nasdaq Stockholm:LUG) is pleased to announce that Natixis and the Bank of Montreal have joined the lenders syndicate of the previously announced senior secured project finance facility (the “Facility”). As a result of their additional commitments, the total commitment from the lenders under the Facility has increased to US$350 million. The Facility will fund the development and construction of the Company’s Fruta del Norte gold project in Ecuador (“Fruta del Norte” or the “Project”).

The Facility remains subject to completion of definitive documentation, which will include customary project finance terms, fees and conditions, a comprehensive intercreditor agreement, a guarantee from an export credit agency for a US$100 million portion of the Facility and completion of ongoing due diligence.
