Val-d’Or, Quebec / TheNewswire / April 26, 2018 – Knick Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: KNX) Knick would like to highlight that 300 meters is a similar distance between the Marban Mines, 900 Level (-275m) “below surface” and Knick’s East-West Property boundary along strike. The closest Marban resources area is about 100 meters from the East-West property boundary (see figures below).
Recent drilling on the gold trend of the East-West property returned 31 g/t gold over 1.25 metres in hole EW-16-06 and 0.5 g/t over 34.9 metres (including 6.6 g/t gold over 2.0 meters) in hole EW-17-20 located 200 metres along strike (down hole widths). A total of 100 holes drilled between 2009 and 2017 have hit the Marbenite structure above 200 metres (Knick, 2017 NI 43-101 Technical Report).
Research and Data:
The company has received calls from both Knick and Osisko shareholders asking if we are in contact as Knick and Osisko properties share the same geological package based on the Quebec Sigeom provincial database.
From all the available drilling information the company has reviewed in the Marban Gold Deposit area (owned by Osisko Mining-OSK) the footwall of the deposit is passing through the East-West property following a plunge toward the east.
As of December 31, 2017 Osisko, Mining MD&A reported 1.60 M Ounces gold in the Measured and Indicated Category on the Marban Project at a grade of 1.30g/t gold (Osisko Mining, Management`s Discussion And Analysis, December 31th, 2017). The Marban deposit has already produced about 330,000 ounces at a grade of 5.3 g/t from 1961 to 1974 from underground.
Knick has conducted three drilling programs since acquiring the property. The first program consisted of 38 holes for a total of 7,228.9 m drilled from July 7 to December 20, 2009. The second totalled 5,635.4 m in 33 holes drilled from February 2, 2011 to April 2, 2011. The third totalled 6,864 m in 29 holes drilled from October 31, 2016, to March 5, 2017. This drilling information is mostly located above a vertical depth of 200 metres. There has yet to be in ground resources identified on the property. Drill results released by Knick to date support the gold systems potential over a strike length of about 1.5 km.
