Vancouver, British Columbia (FSCwire) - Ximen Mining Corp. (TSX-V: XIM, "Ximen" or the "Company")announces that it has been made aware that nine of the shareholders of the Company, led by Alan Slaughter and David Townsend, (collectively, the "Petitioners") have filed a petition in the Supreme Court of British Columbia (the "Petition") against the Company and each of its directors (other than Roy Davis), (collectively the "Respondents") seeking, among other things, a declaration that the Petitioners have been oppressed or, in the alternative, unfairly prejudiced by the actions of one or more of the Respondents, pursuant to s. 227(2) of the British Columbia Business Corporations Act (the "Act"), and that one or more remedial orders be granted pursuant to s. 227(3) of the Act.The Company has not yet been served with the Petition.

The group of Petitioners includes several of the same dissident shareholders who challenged, unsuccessfully, the proceedings at the Company's annual general meeting held earlier this year.

The Company intends to defend the allegations set out in the Petition vigorously and to issue another press release when there is further information to report.
