(IDEX Online) - A necklace featuring 120 carats of rare Golconda diamonds mined over 200 years ago is on the market, priced at $1.366m.

It was originally made for a royal family in India in the 1900s, according to sellers Lotus Arts de Vivre, in Bangkok, Thailand.

They are also offering for sale a number of other Golconda pieces, priced between $32,000 and $315,000.

The famed Golconda mines operated primarily in the 16th and 17th centuries, producing diamonds of remarkable quality, whiteness and clarity.

These particular diamonds come from the Kollur Mines in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, in the south of India.

A total of 5.60 carats of baguette new cut diamonds have been added, mounted in 18 karat yellow gold with white rhodium plate.
