By simon ridgeway / April 03, 2017 / www.youtube.com / Article Link

This talk explores the concept of being engaging in the classroom and whether it is necessary or not. Amjad dissects the notion of a gimmick and fad and present how his teaching has developed over time, which has in turn inspired generations of people. The overall message is to be yourself, do your best and never stop learning.Amjad is senior leader who has trained educators both nationally and internationally. He is ambitious, committed and aiming to make a difference to the education system by inspiring changes. Most recently he has been involved in co-organising BAMEed, a new national network for inspiring BAME educators. He teaches, tweets and tweaks his practice to help others improve theirs, which in turn helps him and his students too. For Amjad, education is about ensuring wherever you come from, whatever your parents do or not do, does not impact on one's potential of success. Whatever success means to that young person it should be found and celebrated. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
