5N Plus enters 3D printing market as powder supplier

Canadian minor metals and speciality chemicals producer 5N Plus has entered the additive manufacturing market, also known as the 3D printing market, as a supplier of high-performance engineered powders, the company has told Fastmarkets.

"As a new entrant to the market, 5N Plus will initially focus on the technologically challenging and smaller markets within micro-electronics and semiconductor applications," the company said.
For this segment, 5N Plus has developed a portfolio of engineered powders based on copper and copper-based alloys.
