$6.8m of Fake Jewelry from Hong Kong Seized in US

(IDEX Online) - Customs officer in the US seized three shipments of counterfeit jewelry and watches from Hong Kong which would have been worth $6.88m if genuine.

 

The first shipment had a declared value of $319, but contained 275 assorted Cartier Love bracelets, with retail prices, if genuine, totaling $3.27m.

 

It was addressed to a private residence in Richmond, Virginia, but was intercepted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers in Cincinnati, Ohio, on 5 August.

 

Later the same day CBP officers seized 500 fake Cartier bracelets, which would have been worth $3.2m.

The following day they seized 13 fake Rolex watches -10 Cosmograph Daytona and three Yacht Master II, destined for a business in Mesquite, Texas. They would have been worth $405,000.
