8ct. Rough Diamond Boosts Tango Average Price

RAPAPORT... Tango Mining achieved an average price of $864 per carat atits March tender, driven by the sale of an 8.47-carat diamond, the company saidFriday.  The stone, which fetched $2,896 per carat, was among 106 roughdiamonds - weighing a combined 159.34 carats - that Tango put up for sale. Tango sources its diamonds from the Oena mine in SouthAfrica. The company has recovered 1,660 carats of rough since acquiring theasset, selling the production for an average of $1,150 per carat.Image: Ptukhina Natasha
