The Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences (AIGS) plans to boost cooperation in gemological education with Chinese institutions.

AIGS Chairman Kennedy Ho met with Shunyu Hou, President of GTC - Guangdong Gemstones & Precious Metals Testing Center, in Guangdong on February 27, and agreed to further collaboration in educational projects and in gemstone testing.

"At AIGS, we plan to roll out many educational activities in China," Kennedy Ho said. "The expertise that we have at AIGS can be of vital assistance to the development of the gemological trade in China, and in helping to achieve the highest quality standards."
