Antwerp's Diamantkring Joins NDC

(IDEX Online) - Antwerp's Diamantkring has become the first bourse to partner with the Natural Diamond Council (NDC).The New York-based NDC (known as the Diamond Producers' Association until June 2020) promotes the industry and educates consumers.Its members include miners De Beers Group, Lucara Diamond, Petra Diamonds, RZM Murowa, and Rio Tinto - representing about three quarters of the world's rough diamond production -  and it has a number of retail partners.The Diamantkring, one of four diamond exchanges in Antwerp, says it wants to support the work of the NDC and to encourage other organizations and companies to follow suit."As a respected industry body, we acknowledge the great work of the Natural Diamond Council," said Michel Schonfeld, President of the Antwerpsche Diamantkring."Under the leadership of David Kellie, the NDC produces sharp, factual, usable and creatively exquisite work to promote natural diamonds.""We're delighted to welcome Antwerpsche Diamantkring as a partner with the Natural Diamond Council," said David Kellie, CEO of the NDC."By becoming a partner, their Board of Directors has demonstrated leadership and vision in recognizing the importance of inspiring consumer demand for natural diamonds as being critical to the success of their members."Pic courtesy Antwerpsche Diamantkring
