(Kitco News) - NFT's are going to revolutionize the way traditional art isdisplayed and sold, pioneering NFT and digital artist Amrita Sethi emphasized. "A traditionalpainted mural is a flat image. It is a two-dimensional image on a wall. The wall isthree-dimensional, but even a wall has a lack of dimensions. The minute you scan the QR code and you playback the augmented reality, it starts to add layers. It starts to animate and bring it to life,"Sethi said, comparing traditional art to digitized art."

An NFT (a non-fungible token), is a unique andnon-interchangeable datum stored on a digital ledger. It uses blockchain technology to establish averified and public proof of ownership.

Sethi spoke to David Lin, anchor at Kitco News at the FutureBlockchain Summit in Dubai, and showed him how digital art works. Sethi is also known forcreating "Voice Note Art," an idea for which she holds the intellectual rights. The idea is to takea word - and then use sound waves that the word produces when spoken out loud to produce apicture.

Sethi explained how we will be able to see new dimensions inthis new digital art world. "What the concept of digital art and NFT's are now doing for thecreative economy is that we are able to take away from our 2D and 3D reality, and be able toaccess new dimensions," Sethi said. "That to our brains is exactly real, even though it'sdigitally there. You can switch it off, but in our brains it's as real as it gets."

"Wearing specific goggles, scanning your clothes with yourphone, is the future of fashion. Augmented reality -- the way we interact with ourclothes, and the way we start to see each other, we are going to start to live in a hybrid reality,"Sethi emphasized.

Sethi discussed how art is increasingly becoming digital, and with this digitization comes the opportunities for virtual reality tointegrate with NFT's. "I definitely do think this is a revolution in how we seeart. I believe future generations of children will notice if art is just a flatimage," she added. "I think it's going to be a massive change. People are sofocused on the word NFT that they are forgetting about the creativity thatNFT's have unlocked."

Sethi has a unique background, she is a former investmentbanker who worked for 15 years at major global financial firms. Sethi left thefinancial world and turned into an artist and entrepreneur.
