Brazilian domestic flat steel prices up on currency moves, low imports

Brazilian domestic prices of hot-rolled coil, cold-rolled coil and hot-dipped galvanized coil have increased this month as mills have been struggling to apply previously announced price movements.

Metal Bulletin's monthly assessment of Brazil domestic HRC prices rose to 2,600-2,700 Reais ($701-728) per tonne-ex-works on Friday June 8 compared with 2,500-2,600 Reais per tonne ex-works on May 4.The monthly assessment for CRC prices was 2,900-3,000 Reais, up from 2,800-2,900 Reais, while HDG prices reached $3,200-3,400...
