CHINA REBAR: Domestic market strengthens after mills raise list prices

China's domestic rebar prices posted big gains on Thursday March 1 after major producers announced higher list prices for the long steel product.

Domestic Eastern China (Shanghai): 4,080-4,120 yuan ($645-651) per tonne, up 60 yuan per tonne Northern China (Beijing): 4,130-4,150 yuan per tonne, up 20-30 yuan per tonne East China's major rebar producer, Shagang, raised its ex-works price by 250 yuan per tonne for the first 10 days of March, which led other mills to follow suit.These increases in turn gave the...
