COKING COAL DAILY: Seaborne prices steady but uncertainties remain

Seaborne coking coal prices were steady on Thursday February 14, with port restrictions in China and concern over supply from Queensland, Australia continuing to cloud market participants' outlook.

A prompt cargo of premium hard coking coal changed hands at $203.50 per tonne cfr China, market sources told Fastmarkets during the day.A bid was made for a cargo of the same type of materials at $207 per tonne fob Australia, they added.Chinese market participants said that the long customs clearance time - exceeding a month - might alter their procurement strategies in the coming weeks, especially when it comes to top-quality materials that are difficult...
