Copper and aluminum are the enablers of our transition into cleaner electrification, said Gianni Kovacevic, executive chairman of CopperBank.
"I like copper. Copper is the Achilles' heel to green energy. Now, I've been saying this for a long time, I say in my book, that the greener and cleaner hat we create energy, the more that is demanded of copper," Kovacevic told Kitco News on the sidelines of the Mines & Money Conference in Toronto.
Kovacevic cited Royal Dutch Shell in saying that currently, 19% of final energy use is electrification, and that number will climb to between 50% and 60%.
