Codelco reaches labor agreement for Ministro Hales mine

Chile's state-owned copper producer Codelco has reached an agreement with workers from its Ministro Hales division for wage raises, the company stated on Saturday December 1.

The miner has now concluded labor agreements with almost all of its workers, it added, after announcing last week that more than 90% of its employees were under new contracts.Ministro Hales was the fifth-largest mining operation for the company in the January-September period with 142,000 tonnes of output, the November 29 earnings report shows.The new agreement will be in effect for three years...
