Cutwise Provides Extra Security Layer for iTraceiT

(IDEX Online) - Belgian traceability firm iTraceiT is to incorporate super-accurate digital reports, produced by the Cutwise Group, into its diamond passports.

It says that adding Cutwise's DiLog ID to its own blockchain technology provides an extra layer of security.

The DiLog ID creates a "a photoreal rendered image of the polished Diamond" to produce unprecedentedly accurate digital reports that detail precise measurements of the scanned stones.

"The diamond cannot be swapped with any other stone since the data provided by iTraciT's app, the stone's grading report, and the DiLog ID cannot be matched to another diamond," said iTraceiT's CEO, Fredrik Degryse.

The iTraceiT combination of QR-code and blockchain technology records all processes performed on a diamond along the pipeline, and is not tied to any producer, sightholder or industry organization.

Cutwise says basic DiLog reports cost as little as $0.15 per stone scanned.
