DAILY SCRAP REPORT: Turkish mills keep buying, prices keep dipping

Turkish steel producers have continued to book deep-sea scrap cargoes with prices continuing to slip, sources said on Friday June 1.

A steel producer in the Marmara region booked a European cargo, comprising 15,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 (75:25), 12,000 tonnes of shredded and 13,000 tonnes of bonus at an average price of $336 per tonne cfr.Another steel mill in the Iskenderun region booked a UK cargo, comprising 18,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 (80:20) at $331.50 per tonne cfr.The...
