Diamond Groups Join Forces with Carat+

RAPAPORT... Easyfairs has partnered with the Federation of BelgianDiamond Bourses (FBDB) and the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) to presentthe upcoming Carat+ show.  "This partnership allows us to associate the Antwerp diamondsector and its organizations to an already successful Carat+ trade-showconcept," Dirk Oosterlinck, managing director of Easyfairs, the event's organizer, said Sunday. The partnershipwill benefit the entire Antwerp diamond industry, especially FBDB's members, said Philippe Barsamian, the federation's president. "The dynamism and the diversity of our diamantaires will behighlighted in this new international framework," he added. The second edition of Carat+ will take place from May 6 to 8at the Antwerp Expo in Belgium. The show will feature up to 150 exhibitors,along with diamond suppliers, manufacturers, diamond jewelry brands andcolored-gemstone specialists, as well as special displays, including one focused on Chinese exhibitors.  Carat+ will fall between Baselworld, which takes place inMarch, and JCK Las Vegas, which will run in June.
