EU extends anti-dumping tariff on Chinese steel ropes, cables for another 5 years

The European Commission (EC) has decided to extend its existing anti-dumping duty of 60.4% on imports of China-origin steel ropes and cables, it said on Thursday April 19.

The anti-dumping tariffs were set in 1999 and the latest decision comes after the third expiry review, extending measures at the same level for a further five years."The expiry review investigation found evidence that dumping from Chinese companies would continue should measures be allowed to lapse, which would have a negative financial effect...
