Toronto-based First Cobalt Corp. is creating programs to address permitting and environmental baseline studies at its Iron Creek cobalt project 40 km southwest of the town of Salmon. Brown and Caldwell has been engaged to provide permitting guidance and to oversee the collection of environmental data.

The maiden inferred resource estimate for Iron Creek was 26.9 million tonnes grading 0.08% cobalt and 0.30% copper, containing 46.2 million lb. of cobalt and 176.2 million lb. of copper if mining were to include both open pit and underground operations. If development took place only of underground mineralization, the estimate becomes 4.4 million tonnes grading 0.23% cobalt and 0.68% copper, containing 22.3 million lb. of cobalt and 66.7 million lb. of copper.

The environmental baseline data, an updated resource estimate and other technical studies will be used in the creation of a preliminary economic assessment planned for the second half of 2019.

First Cobalt also owns a cobalt refinery in the Ontario town of Cobalt. Please visit www.FirstCobalt.com.
