GLOBAL NICKEL WRAP: Premiums well-supported by steady demand

Nickel premiums were unchanged in well-supported and stable markets in China, the United States and Europe in the week to Tuesday June 19.

The Shanghai-bonded warehouse nickel premium was $150-170 per tonne on Tuesday June 19, unchanged from last week, and the cif Shanghai full-plate nickel premium, at $150-160 per tonne, was also steady. The import loss on refined nickel between the London Metal Exchange and the most-traded Wuxi contract narrowed to around $190 per tonne as of Tuesday from around $366 per tonne on June 11, according to traders' calculations.
