GLOBAL ANTIMONY WRAP: Prices continue to move down in sluggish market

Antimony prices continued their downward trend in both Chinese and European markets in the week ended November 30 amid continuing weak consumer demand.

In China, Fastmarkets' price assessment for MMTA standard grade-II antimony, delivered, duty-paid, stood at 49,500-50,000 yuan ($7,121-7,193) per tonne on Wednesday November 28, down from 50,000-50,500 yuan per tonne the previous week amid continuing weak demand in the domestic market. While prices inched down by 1% in China, trading was slow with one producer saying he would be unwilling to accept bids below 500,000 yuan per tonne.
