Gem Diamonds recovers 12th diamond of over 100 ct for 2018

LSE-listed Gem Diamonds has recovered a 138 ct top white colour and Type IIa diamond, at its Letšeng mine, in Lesotho.

This diamond, the miner said on Wednesday, is the highest dollar per carat kimberlite diamond in the world.

The recovery is now the twelfth diamond of over 100 ct recovered in 2018 and set a new record for Gem Diamonds in terms of the number of diamonds of over 100 ct recovered in a year.
