GemHack 2020 - 48 Hours to Solve Industry Problems

(IDEX Online) - The world's first hackathon for the gem and jewelry world is to take place later this month.It's a two-day team event aimed at finding new and disruptive solutions to unique and complex issues in the industry.GemHack 2020 takes place over the weekend of 24 and 25 October, with participants competing remotely for cash prizes.Hackathons bring together computer programmers and other professionals to collaborate intensively on a project against the clock."We are pushing a small step forward in the industry to show how we can spearhead innovation by putting bright minds from different disciplines to collaborate and apply their expertise on specific problems in the gem and jewelry industry," says a GemHack press release.Mentors from within the industry and beyond will provide advice on specific issues during the event.Judges will evaluate and score presentations to select winning presentations of each prompt, and the overall GemHack winning team. Mentors and judges will be drawn from sponsors (including Indian Diamond & Colorstone Association, Diamond Manufacturers & Importers Association, Women's Jewelry Association, Sagar Star Corp, Kunming Diamonds).More details at www.gemhack.co.
