(IDEX Online) - Helzberg Diamonds is offering the ultimate wedding service for engaged couples - a wedding service. The jewelry retailer has ordained hundreds of its associates across the U.S. enabling all Helzberg Diamonds stores to perform legal marriage ceremonies.

The associates have been ordained through a partnership with the Universal Life Church.

To get married in-store, couples need to bring their partner and their marriage license to a Helzberg Diamonds location. According to the retailer, ordained associates will be available to perform free marriage ceremonies during regular work hours.

The move came after a Helzberg Diamonds' survey of millennials revealed that 91 percent of those surveyed would consider eloping and 63 percent of already-married couples would elope if they did a "do over."

"We discovered that not only did we already have some ordained associates on staff, a few stores had also performed marriage ceremonies upon request, said Beryl Raff, Helzberg Diamonds chairman and chief executive officer. "Inspired by these stories, we wanted to become the destination that could, and would, officiate for these couples in a relaxed and comfortable environment."

Couples who get married in-store will receive a custom celebration kit from Helzberg Diamonds following the ceremony, including a commemorative marriage certificate. No purchase is necessary to take advantage of the wedding service.
