New York spot gold gained $7.40 to $1,331.40 on Thursday. The TSX Venture Exchange gained 1.12 points to 829.12 while the TSX Gold Index lost 1.14 points to 181.84. Alamos Gold Inc. (AGI) fell 48 cents to $6.30 on 3.30 million shares. The company released its results for fiscal 2017 today, noting that it "executed on a number of operational and strategic objectives." Unfortunately, investors were not happy with either the number, or the degree of execution.

Steven Dean's Atlantic Gold Corp. (AGB), down five cents to $1.57 on 220,000 shares, has received assays of up to 12.84 grams of gold per tonne over eight metres from drilling in the Plenty zone at its Fifteen Mile Stream deposit in Nova Scotia. The Plenty zone holes also yielded hits of 5.92 grams of gold per tonne over 11 metres and 3.03 grams of gold per tonne over 13 metres. In addition to the drilling at Fifteen Mile Stream, Atlantic Gold's phase 3 drilling also tested the Cochrane Hill zone, which produced assays of up to 9.77 grams per tonne across six metres and 8.08 grams per tonne over five metres.
