(IDEX Online) - Hammer-wielding thieves threatened security staff during a raid on a diamond store in Canada.Security guards converged on White Carat Co. Diamonds, at the Bramalea City Centre shopping mall, in Brampton, Ontario, after reports of display cases being smashed.One of the three masked raiders climbed onto a counter and appeared ready to swing a hammer at the guards, in surveillance video from the incident.Two of the men fled with what police describe as a "substantial quantity" of jewelry on 8 November. A third was arrested and charged with charged with robbery and disguise with intent.Mall owner Morguard said: "Our security team's quick response ensured that nobody was injured while the Peel Regional Police arrived onsite shortly after and made an arrest."
