Israel Bourse E-Seller Inks Chinese Trade Deal

RAPAPORT... Israel's Get Diamonds has signed an agreement to sell stones directly to the Chinese jewelry market, the company said this week. Get Diamonds, the e-commerce platform of the Israel Diamond Institute(IDI), will partner with Rock & Trade, an Israel-based company thatprovides a loose-diamond platform specifically for Chinese jewelers andsuppliers. Get Diamonds is a website that enables Israeli traders to upload their goods, making them available to buyers around the world. "Get Diamonds is an extremely powerful tool in growingIsrael's diamond trade," said IDI chairman Boaz Moldawsky. "This partnershipwill enable us to trade directly with Chinese jewelers easily and efficiently,and in their own language." China is one of Israel's leading markets, and the agreementwill help the trade reach those customers, Moldawsky said. In January, the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) announced apartnership with e-commerce giant Alibaba, which will enable traders to sellgoods online to businesses and consumers in global markets.
