RAPAPORT... The upcoming International Diamond Week in Israel (IDWI) willfeature exhibitors from outside the country for the first time, in the hopes ofdrawing in more buyers. "There has been a lot of interest on the part of internationalcompanies to exhibit at the show, and this year we've decided to allow it,"explained IDWI chairman Ezra Boaron. "The diamond world thrives on trading, andI believe that this step will enable the event to attract additional buyersfrom new markets." The event, running from February 10 to 12, will feature a presentation by Rapaport Chairman Martin Rapaport on how Israel's diamond trade can turn challengesinto opportunities.
