Jeweler Arrested Over Customers' Missing Items

(IDEX Online) - The owner of a jewelry store has been arrested after a series of complaints from customers who said they dropped off items for appraisal or cleaning - and never got them back.They tried and failed to contact Paul Williams, 46, the owner of Jewelry Liquidation, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. The store closed "abruptly".Williams was arrested after at least a dozen customers filed police reports and set up a "People ripped off by Paul Williams" group on Facebook.Detectives report that he "actually pawned the jewelry off for financial gain, without the consent of the original owner/customer."He has been charged with obtaining money or property under false pretense, embezzlement by employee and a complaint of false declaration of ownership.Pic courtesy Tulsa County Jail
