Jewelry Retailing Post-Covid - Big Changes Coming!

(IDEX Online) - Virtual try-on of jewelry . . . the jewelry store as a shopping experience . . . less discounting of jewelry . . . these are a few of the ideas tossed out by the Wall Street Journal in a recent article called "A New Future for Retail After Covid." 

Actually, the article wasn't specifically addressed to jewelers; we added the word "jewelry" to the topics the newspaper covered, because it is clear that Specialty Jewelry merchants are going to need to change their approach to retailing as we emerge from the recent pandemic.  

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) interviewed a number of retail merchants and consultants; there was unanimity that the retail scene will change significantly post-pandemic, but there were a number of different opinions about what the new shopping experience will look like.
