(IDEX Online) - Jean-Marc Lieberherr is stepping down from his role as CEO of the Diamond Producers Association (DPA) after leading the organization for four years. He will be succeeded by David Kellie, who has spent 14 years at Ralph Lauren and is currently head of U.S. marketing at Watches of Switzerland.

The DPA said Lieberherr will remain in his role until his contract period ends on December 31. Kellie will join the organization in December.

Lieberherr has filled key leadership positions at the DPA since it was formed in December 2015, first as chairman and then as CEO. Prior to his role at the DPA, he was managing director of Rio Tinto Diamonds.

"We are very pleased to have someone of David's caliber to take over as DPA CEO, especially given the organisation's key marketing role," said Stephen Lussier, DPA chairman. "David brings extensive experience to the DPA having led traditional and digital marketing programs across the major global markets."
