Mountain Province to Sell 152ct. Yellow Diamond

RAPAPORT... A yellow rough diamond weighing 151.60 carats will be the star item at Mountain Province's sale in Antwerp later this month.The octahedron with "exceptional clarity" will be among more than 90 special stones available from the company's Gahcho Ku?(C) mine in Canada, the company said Wednesday. The tender is Mountain Province's largest offering of gem-quality rough diamonds exceeding 10.8 carats to date, it noted."This important diamond represents a clear example of the Gahcho Ku?(C) mine's ability to consistently recover high-quality gems of exceptionally large size," explained Reid Mackie, the company's vice president for diamond marketing. "These gems are highly coveted by collectors around the globe, not only for their beauty but, increasingly, for their Canadian origin."Viewings of the goods will take place during Mountain Province's September sale at the offices of tender house Bonas Group in Antwerp from September 5 to 16.
