(IDEX Online) - The Natural Diamond Council (NDC) says it's "busting myths" in a new 54-page report called Diamond Facts.It aims to address misinformation about both natural diamonds and lab grown diamonds with a series of 11 questions and detailed answers.The NDC says it will begin rolling out related videos, aimed primarily at consumers, on its social media channels in the coming weeks.Topics covered in the report include: Can you detect a laboratory-grown diamond from a natural diamond?How are natural diamonds ethically sourced?Are all laboratory-grown diamonds sustainable?What have been the price trends for laboratory-grown diamonds?The report, subtitled "Addressing myths and misconceptions about the diamond industry" is based on research with respected third-party organizations, industry experts and independent sustainability advisors.David Kellie, CEO of the New York-based NDC, said: "In an age where consumers are more inquisitive and enlightened than ever, they wish to know about the values and responsible business practices from the companies and indeed the wider industry from which they are purchasing."Pic courtesy NDC shows CVD lab growns
