Natural Diamond Council Hires Retail VP

RAPAPORT... Gabrielle Grazi has joined the Natural Diamond Council (NDC) as its vice president for retail following seven years at Signet Jewelers.The newly created role involves establishing the NDC as the natural-diamond authority among industry members in North America. Grazi will also lead the organization's efforts in the area of trade conferences and events, the NDC said last week.She started on June 1, based in New Jersey and reporting to Kristina Buckley Kayel, the NDC's managing director for North America.Grazi was previously Signet's director of stores for the north region, chaired its business resource group for women, and was an adviser to its diversity leadership team, according to her LinkedIn profile. "Gabrielle brings a wealth of experience and powerful insight from her last role, and we are thrilled to welcome her to our team," said Buckley Kayel. "Her leadership will bring immense value not only to the NDC but to the collective industry as we work toward our common goals."Last week, the trade organization - formerly the Diamond Producers Association - unveiled a revamp of its name and strategy.
