Phillips Expands New York Jewelry Team

Phillips has named Eva Violante as senior specialist andvice president of its jewelry division in the Americas.Violante (pictured) was previously the director of finejewelry in New York for Heritage Auctions. She will work with new and existingclients of Phillips on consignments, creating cross-marketing opportunitieswithin the company, and networking with collectors, dealers and influencers inthe jewelry market, the auction house said last week.Violante will report to Susan Abeles, Phillips's senior vicepresident, head of jewelry for the Americas and senior internationalspecialist."It's the right time to expand our department, and I amconfident Eva will help us create an innovative and contemporary jewelryoffering that will appeal to the increasing number of collectors of art,watches and design," Abeles said. "Eva's creativity, dynamism and experiencewill help us grow in this important category and present our clients with awell-rounded offering of exceptional jewels."Phillips has also appointed Anne Mock as associate jewelryspecialist, it said. She previously worked at Harry Winston. Violante and Mockwill be based in the New York office.
