Prada Uses 100% Recycled Gold in New Collection

(IDEX Online) - Prada, the Italian fashion house best known for its luxury handbags, has launched a debut collection of sustainable fine jewelry.It says it is using 100% certified recycled gold across all pieces in the Eternal Gold collection.Prada's website currently shows three items - a signet ring, a bangle set with 0.344 cts of diamonds, and a pendant necklace in yellow gold with diamonds and onyx. No prices are displayed.The Milan-based company says it is the first global luxury brand to use only certified recycled gold, meeting the Chain of Custody standards set by the Responsible Jewelry Council."Every step and incarnation of Prada's responsible gold and diamond production chain is verifiable and traceable, on the Aura Consortium Blockchain?, ?s platform and can be accessed by Prada fine jewelry customers who also will be able to verify the authenticity of their pieces," said Prada in a press statement.
