Purepoint Uranium updates work at Hook Lake

Purepoint Uranium Group of Toronto has offered an update on work planned for the Hook Lake uranium project. Purepoint (21%) sat down with its joint venture partners Cameco (39.5%) and Orano Canada (39.5%) to review data and develop the next steps to advance the project.

There are three areas of particular interest. The North Dragon area lies 800 metres west of and parallel to the Dragon shear zone. Earlier drilling this year intersected numerous high strain zones, a post-Athabasca fault along with strong hydrothermal alteration and elevated radioactivity. An electromagnetic survey of the Spitfire and Dragon zones was conducted to follow up on last winter's drilling. The results revealed a previously unseen, strongly conductive shear on trend between the two zones. Three-dimensional modeling of the Spitfire deposit indicates the potential for deeply rooted mineralized lenses beneath the deposit, and deep drilling is planned.

Purepoint says there are other areas of interest that include the magnetic low located northeast of Spitfire and southwest of the new EM conductor as well as the complex EM conductor located west-northwest of Spitfire.

Hook Lake is still in the early stages of exploration. It lies in the Patterson Lake Corridor to the east of Fission's Triple R and Arrow uranium deposits. Purepoint is undertaking the task of revising the lithological/structural map of the corridor.
