WELLINGTON, Feb 8 (Reuters) - Reserve Bank of New Zealand governor Grant Spencer said on Thursday that the bank was not concerned about the New Zealand dollar, which had risen in recent months.

"We're comfortable with where it is," Spencer told reporters, adding that the New Zealand dollar's strength was largely on the back of weakness in the U.S. dollar.

Spencer made the comments at a press conference after the bank announced it had kept rates on hold at a record low of 1.75 percent and reiterated that it planned to leave interest rates on hold for years as it works to boost inflation.
