SHANGHAI, Mar 6 (SMM) - Production and sales of ferronickel and nickel ore surged to a record high at Indonesian mining and metals company Antam in 2017, according to a report from mineral resources website 10s1.com.
Antam produced 21,762 mt of ferronickel (in nickel content) and 1.63 million wmt of nickel ore last year, with record high growth rates of 7.2% and 241%, respectively.
Sales of nickel ore increased 285% to stand at 2.83 million wmt in 2017, with lower-grade ore accounting for the majority.
