Resolute flagship mine confirmed as 'mine of the future'

Automating the Syama underground gold mine in Mali will reduce mid-tier gold producer Resolute Mining's mining costs there by 30%, according to CEO John Welborn. The company is also eyeing 30-40% production upside, too.

Resolute this month signed a framework agreement with Sweden-headquartered Sandvik to fully automate the loading and haulage operations at Syama.
