Roxgold Inc. (TSX: ROXG)says it has received the necessary permit approval from the Burkina FasoMinistry of Environment and Sustainable Development to develop the BagassiSouth Project. “The approval of the environmental and social impact assessmentfor Bagassi South allows us to confirm our development decision and begin minedevelopment and construction for our first growth project on the Yaramokoconcession,” says John Dorward, president and chief executive officer.Underground mine development and construction activities should begin in thefirst quarter, Roxgold says. With approval of the ESIA, the company has filedan application for an extension of its mining permit to include the BagassiSouth deposits, which marks the final step in the permitting process. Agovernment decision on the extension is expected in the second quarter.
