LONDON, 8 March 2023 - Analysis from BullionVault features today at Vietnam's Saigon Times in a report on how comments from US central bank chief Jerome Powell about needing to raise interest rates further to defeat inflation have hit financial markets from stocks to bonds and gold.
"With the shock of inflation and war in Europe now long faded as a reason to buy gold, the precious metal currently lacks an urgent driver to flip investor sentiment positive in the face of further Fed hikes to come," says the paper online, quoting comment from BullionVault's Adrian Ash which is also quoted today by English-language sites MSN, Business Insider, Morningstar and MarketWatch.
