RAPAPORT... Sarine Technologies has opened its first service center in Japan, offering Sarine Profile reports to the local diamond trade. The reports available from the Tokyo service center - which a local Sarine partner will operate - will include imaging, light performance, cut grading and Hearts and Arrows analysis, as well as the story of the diamond's journey from rough to polished. "With the growing demand for the complete Sarine Profile report and the Sarine Diamond Journey in Japan, we realized that we must be able to offer a timely service locally in Japan," Sarine CEO David Block said Monday. Sarine's light-performance grading reports are currently offered in-store by several Japanese jewelry retailers, including K-Uno, CIMA and Sadamatsu.
