The TSX Venture Exchange climbed 13.57 points to 795.94 Friday. Marc Sontrop's halted Aim1 Ventures Inc. (AIMI) has an update on its QT to acquire James E. Wagner Cultivation Ltd. (JWC). JWC is a licensed marijuana grower in Kitchener, Ont., where the company is expanding. It has one 15,000-square-foot warehouse, and in February it leased a second much-larger warehouse of 345,000 square feet.JWC received its licence to sell medical marijuana on March 29, 2018. The company also has a sales arrangement with Canopy Growth Corp. (WEED: $29.84), which asked JWC to sell its marijuana under Canopy's "CraftGrow" artisanal line.In exchange, Canopy will provide access to its distribution, marketing and sales channels. It will also conduct quality-control testing. Canopy is interested in JWC's aeroponic growing technique. It suspends its marijuana plants in the air, misting the roots with food and water every two minutes so the plants do not dry out. To prevent fungal growth from the high humidity, JWC says it seals off the roots from the leaves.
