The TSX Venture Exchange closed up a fraction to 817.80 Friday, ending the week down 15.87 points. Mihalis (Mike) Belantis has filed a preliminary prospectus to list his second capital pool shell, Rebel Capital 2.0 Corp. He plans to sell a $200,000 initial public offering at 10 cents through Mackie Research Capital Corp.

Mr. Belantis, 41, owned and operated a restaurant called Rocky Mountain Grill, about an hour west of Red Deer, Alta., from 2001 to 2006. Afterward, he served as an investor relations man for Timmins Gold Corp. (now called Alio Gold Inc. (ALO: $2.66)) and Otis Gold Corp. (OOO: $0.29). From November, 2014, to August, 2015, Mr. Belantis was the chief executive officer of an Alberta infrastructure and utility service provider (doing, for instance, traffic light and street light maintenance) called QE2 Acquisition Corp. Under his leadership, QE2 peaked at a modest 20 cents on the TSX-V. Mr. Belantis left in 2015, when the company remade itself into Distinct Infrastructure Group Inc. (DUG: $1.34). (The stock rolled back 1 for 10 in 2016.)
